Hull FC prop forward Josh Bowden has labelled tomorrow’s penultimate Super 8s game against Wakefield Trinity as ‘do or die’.
Chris Chester will bring his Wakefield Trinity side to the KCOM Stadium for the eagerly anticipated Super 8s clash, which will prove decisive in the race for the top four.
In-form Bowden, who has scored two tries in the latter stages of the season, says he is eager to secure the two points with a lot in the balance for the Black and Whites.
“Obviously it’s do or die for us now and Radders has been drilling that into us all week,” he told Hull FC Live.
“This game will define our season, so all of the boys have been training extra-hard this week.
“We’ve all been doing extra bits to get ourselves ready for the game and I just want to get the win.”
The 25-year-old was a standout performer on Friday night, despite late back-to-back tries from Wigan Warriors giving them the victory.
Similarly, he scored away to Leeds Rhinos the week before, complimenting a hard-hitting performance.

Bowden feels that he and his fellow comrades have been unlucky not to collect points in their last two games.
“I think that we’ve made strides towards the play-offs, even though we’ve not picked up the results, because the effort has been there for our games against Leeds and Wigan,” he said.
“We had Gaz sin binned and Wattsy sent off in those games, so we’ve been really unlucky.
“It’s different from last year’s Super 8s campaign because we’re playing really well – it just seems that everything is going against us, but hopefully that will change tomorrow.”
East Stand Unreserved has sold out for tomorrow night’s clash with Wakefield Trinity and tickets in other areas are selling fast for the final game of the season.
It’s the last match on home soil for the departing trio of Gareth Ellis, Mahe Fonua and Steve Michaels.
