Hull FC’s Family Day is back for the game against Wigan Warriors next month, and will be better than ever thanks to a new partnership with Beverley Racecourse!
The Black and Whites have teamed up with Beverley Racecourse for a week-long of fun activities, culminating in a huge clash at the KCOM Stadium when Challenge Cup holders Hull FC host Super League champions Wigan Warriors on Saturday 3rd June (kick-off 5pm).
The partnership between the Airlie Birds and the hugely popular East Yorkshire venue promises to keep the whole family entertained during the school holidays with a host of activities and competitions plus a chance to meet stars of the first-team.
While the grown-ups enjoy an exciting afternoon of racing on Wednesday 31st May at Beverley Racecouse, younger fans can practice wrestling in sumo suits, roll around in a giant Zorb ball, take a selfie with the Challenge Cup, enjoy funfair rides and try for a prize in our popular ‘Boot It’ kicking competition!
Racegoers will also be offered discounted tickets to enjoy the clash between the Cup winners and the champions, whilst families and young fans will also be able to make the most of ticket offers for a fantastic day out for all the family.
Young fans will also get to taste life behind the scenes at the club with our junior takeover!
We will then be hosting our annual Family Day fan park on West Park ahead of the Wigan where young fans can take a ride on ponies dressed up as race horses along with rides, activities, games, giveaways and more!
Our annual mascot race will also take centre stage at half-time between the Black and Whites and the Warriors, with Airlie Bird going up against some popular and well-known mascots!
“Our annual family game is always popular and this half-term will be no exception, so to work with the team at Beverley Races to make this a full week of fun is a fantastic opportunity that hopefully we can round off with a win!”James Clark, Executive Director, Hull FC
As part of Hull FC’s ongoing commitment to developing rugby league for future generations, the club will be delivering one of its popular rugby camps at the racecourse during the half-term break as part of the new partnership.
The three-day camp will run from Tuesday, May 30 to Thursday, June 1, giving youngsters up to the age of 16 the chance to train with Hull FC and attend the half-term race day.
Those taking part will learn rugby skills, play mini tournaments, receive a training certificate and free tickets to the Hull FC game. Prices for the camp are £30 for three days from 9.30am to 3.30pm.
Hull FC Executive Director James Clark said: “We know many of our fans enjoy a day at the races as much as they do the rugby, so it will be a great week to bring fans and families, young and old, together.
