Hull FC half-back Albert Kelly says there was no hesitation in pledging his future to the Black and Whites after signing a one-year extension.
Kelly, who joined the Airlie Birds from city rivals Hull Kingston Rovers in the off-season, has been in scintillating form since his arrival, scoring nine tries in eight appearances.
Having put pen to paper on a new one-year extension yesterday, Kelly says he didn’t think twice about signing on for another year.
“It was a no brainer to extend my contract here,” he said.
“I like to think that I’ve been playing well recently and I’m in a happy place. It was really a no brainer to go anywhere else.
“I like to think I’m getting back to my best form and with another year under my belt, I think I can get better.”
Kelly has helped the Black and Whites reach the upper echelons of the Super League table as they aim to build on the success of last season.
Having seen Hull lift the Challenge Cup at Wembley last year, Kelly has his eyes on clinching some silverware with FC after committing his future until the end of 2018.
“I want for us to be competitive and to be challenging for all three pieces of silverware on offer and make sure that we’re fighting to be up there towards the top,” he said.
“I’m in a happy place right now and I believe we can achieve something this year with the squad that we’ve got and it’s really exciting to be a part of it.”
You can see Kelly and the rest of Hull FC in action by securing your seat for this Sunday’s game against Castleford Tigers at the KCOM Stadium (kick-off 3pm).
