Chris will be celebrating 10 years in Rugby League this season after signing for Sheffield Eagles in 1999. Born in the North-East, Chris has scored over 1,000 points and is a World record holder for the fastest hat trick of tries, in either code of rugby.After playing for Sheffield Eagles and London Broncos, Thorman had a spell with Parramatta Eels before returning home and signing for Huddersfield Giants in 2001. Thorman was made the Giants captain and played two games for England A as captain. He began his career with Wallsend Eagles with his brothers Paul and Neil before moving to Sheffield where he made his debut as a 16 year old. During his days at Burnside Business and Enterprise College he was a friend of England and Manchester United star Michael Carrick. |
