Hull FC and the Stadium Management Company have issued the following statement surrounding the drinking policy at the ground during fixtures in 2010.

Statement:

“Fans will be able to drink alcohol within the seated areas of the KC Stadium during the 2010 rugby league season. The amendment to the alcohol policy has taken place following discussion between the SMC and Hull FC.

Hull FC fan feedback directly to the SMC and via Hull FC’s ‘Tell Us’ communication programme has queried why we are the only rugby league ground in Super League that does not allow fans to drink within their seated areas.

The Police have also been consulted in the process and are comfortable that drinking in seated areas has not increased occurrences of anti-social behaviour and are therefore happy for this amendment to the policy to take place.

SMC and Hull FC will of course continue to monitor fan feedback and will review this policy amendment at the end of the 2010 season. Concourse bars will open one and half hours before kick off and close ten minutes into the second half.“
