ONE CHANGE FOR DRAGONS
By Matthew Holden | 05/04/2013
Hull FC head coach Peter Gentle has made one change to the side that was named for the victory over Wakefield Wildcats ahead of Sunday’s show down with Catalan Dragons.
Australian full back Shannon McDonnell returns after missing the busy festive schedule with a hamstring problem but he’ll face stiff competition for the No.1 jersey from youngster Jamie Shaul.
Easter Monday’s debutant retains his place in the 19-man party, after not initially being named in the original squad for the game but impressing after a late call up to the team.
Chris Green, who made way for Shaul at Wakefield, is absent once again whilst Paul Johnson and Ben Galea are also unavailable after three games in ten days.
That means Dean Hadley is called into the squad despite yet to feature for the senior side, although he was also a late replacement on Monday and on standby having warmed up at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium.
With a line up full of exciting young talent, the squad for this week’s game has an average age of just 24, despite including six players that can boast a career that spans over a decade.
Arundel, Bowden, Briscoe, Crookes, Crooks, Hadley, Heremaia, Horne, Houghton, Lineham, Lynch, McDonnell, O’Meley, Pitts, Shaul, Tickle, Watts, Westerman, Whiting
