VOTE FOR YOUR FAVOURITE LEFT WINGER
By James Clark | 20/04/2011
It’s that time again to vote for the latest player to work their way into the Hull FC Hall of Fame.
At every home game, Hull FC’s official match day programme The 18th Man brings you the nominations of the players you can pick from that are deserving of a place alongside the existing 13 members of the current Hall of Fame.
As many would expect, the legendary Clive Sullivan is the only current left winger in that elite group so it’s time to add one more.
The four players you have to choose from are:
Emlyn Gwynne (1921-1930)
Made his name alongside Billy Batten. Three Tests and scored over 100 tries for Hull
George Williams (1930-1935)
Joined Hull from KR and went on to score 124 tries, as well as representing Yorkshire
Alf Macklin (1968-1979)
‘Super Alf’ was a crowd favourite. One club man, 121 tries and 34 goals in 329 appearances and Yorkshire Cup and John Player Trophy winners medals
Paul Prendiville (1978-1986)
Top try scorer in Hull’s unbeaten season of 1978-79. He scored 98 tries in 113 games and claimed winners medals in the Challenge Cup, Championship, Yorkshire Cup and John Player Trophy.
To find out more about each player and the reasons why they are all deserving of a place in the Hull FC Hall of Fame, pick up a copy of the most recent edition of the The 18th Man official match day programme from the Hull FC Retail stores.
To vote for your favourite player, click on the poll in the bottom right hand corner of the home page on www.hullfc.com
Alternatively, you can send your vote in writing to the Hull FC offices at the KC Stadium or deliver it by hand.
